genital surgeries for people born with an anatomy that someone decided is not standard for male or female.

AIS Support Group Australia
The Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (AIS) Support Group Australia is a peer support, information and advocacy group for people affected by AIS and/or related intersex conditions, and their families.
FTM Australia is a community-based network providing resources and health information for all men (identified female at birth), their family members (partners, parents, siblings and others), healthcare providers and other professionals; including government and policy makers.
The Gender Centre

The Freedom Centre provides peer support services, information, referrals and a safe social space for
young people (under 26) who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersex, queer and
questioning their sexuality or sex/gender. Freedom Centre runs a drop-in session especially for trans and
gender diverse young people, called GenderQ on the 1st Thursday of each month, 5-8pm. Trans and gender
diverse young people are also welcomed at all other sessions.
